more:

Nugget Point, South Island

For the crazier people, this is the cliff bungee at Waikato River

There's also Waitomo black water rafting, which is underground riding a rubber ring through a cave. Freaky and fun! ^_^

That, in short, is home to me ^__^ If you go, there are *AWESOME* hiking areas, no overly deadly, predatory land creatures, superb brown sand, white sand and black rock beaches, and Wellington, Auckland, Rotarua and Christchurch are the big touristy places.

Things to watch out for: sand flies, sand flies and, of course, sand flies. They are nasty bloodsucking lil bastards, but you get used to them after a while ^__^

(I went back to New Zealand for a while when I was like 12 or 13 with the family. Lovely place. Not much culture (why do you think they started to throw themselves off bridges attached only by a big elastic? ) unless you get to the Maori tourist places and visit some of the Polynesian style little places along the south island coast.

Just got back yesterday from Germany. Amazing country and people.

Love the autobahn. Unfortunately I did not see any "supercars" on the road.

Lots of twisties ...

I'm partial to Chechnya .. just watch out for the land mines and mass graves.

I haven't been able to find the exact hotel name. I do however believe it's part of the Amanpuri group. Check out http://www.amanpuri.com they've got a host of locations. Two years ago, my family and I visited their Bali location. Absolute blast. You get your own ungalow and 2 servants who massage you as many times as you like and will cook anything from Western/Asian/Latin! You get VIP service all the way! Check it out...

Why would a place like this need a plasma screen showing what you can see if you just look out the window? Maybe perhapse the display on the plasma screen would be useful after dark!
