Oh, Barbi....Your S2000 is here!
Everyone remember that Nissan commercial that had G.I. Joe picking Barbi up in his 300ZX, next to (neutered) Ken's chagrin?
Well, you can now reenact it in an S2000. While perusing the isles of WalMart I came upon the Wireless Infrared Convertible Car for all 11 1/2" Fashion Dolls. This makes a great present for all of the little daughters of S2000 owners.
Although not advertised as being an S2000, it is very clear from the profile, the head and taillights, and the seats that it was modeled after our favorite car.
The unit comes with a large keyring remote control that:
Additionally, the car's head and taillights illuminate and the doors only open after using the door latch.
Here are some shots of the car:
Now although the remote is shown wired, it does actually work via infrared as well. The wire is mainly so that the unit may be sampled while still in the box.
As you can see, the headlights are very reminiscent of the S2000 though the front bumper has been altered somewhat.
As you can see, the seats, though perhaps a little more stiff than ours are styled similarly.
And finally there's are the distinctive taillights. Although I have not posted it here, the dashboard applique does not mimic our car's but does that of a some of the more generic roadsters on the road. The designers were even astute enough to include an immobilizer. Rather than using an electronically coded key the owner simply flips a small switch underneatch the car. Take that thieves!
As I said, this beaut is available at WalMart (in pink only), for about $30.

- Turns engine sounds on and off
- Raises and lowers the convertible top
- Set's the car's alarm system
- Honks the horn
- Plays music
- Makes the car go forward or backward

Actually, the top folds SLK/new SL style.
Pardon me, gotta go back to playing. I've found that my Evil Kinevel doll and Six Million Dollar Man dolls love this thing. They even like the color
