Top Gear is still running in the UK. The new season starts Nov 13th.

They need to get rid of American Chopper and bring back Top Gear. American Chopper gets so old.. If you seen one episode you seen em all.. just with a different bike and the Sr. getting mad all the time.

I know, it takes like half an episode to realize I haven't already seen it.

It was an embarassement from the start. The version of Top Gear aired on Discovery was so edited that it left out all that was good in that show, mainly the comedy.
It is so much more than a typical Car & Driver episode. They have the shit box derby with guest drivers and that is always good for a laugh. Then the news is great but I don't remember once seeing it air on Discovery. The recap after the Stig laps or races are usually filled with good information, but they cut to commercial on Discovery, often mid sentance.

I think a US motor corp told Discovery to not allow the general public to see the Eurpean cars for fear that they might want good commuter cars here where they can't make $8,000 per car. Thats my guess as to why the News section was edited out.

That last part was a joke, but it might be true.

On top of that, I'm sure they don't want to air Top Gears review of the F150.
