I have a close friend in Japan that provides a LOT of good information for us in the S2000 world. He is also updating his board (linked to S2Ki) so all the Japanese FAQ's are available to us in English. He is a really good guy! He has said he is surprised by the lack of coverage of the recent sinking of the Ehime Maru fishing vessel by our US media. The Ehime Maru carried several high school students just starting out in life...in fishing.....a career more sacred to them then automotive. I would REALLY appreciate it if any of you could take a brief moment and Email FOE at FOE@dry-unet.ocn.ne.jpn. Please let him know America really does care about these events....and send him your prayers.

Please post if you respond to this request.

Thanks in advance

Coverage might be lacking in South Ogden, Utah but it isn't on the East Coast. The NY Times and the Washington Post run stories daily, with most of these on the front page. The Washington Times does too.

Living in Honolulu, it's all you see on TV, hear on the radio or read in the newspaper. It was truly a tragic event for both nations. I watched the news coverage closely as the coast guard search and rescue teams looked for the remaining 9 who were lost....the passing days made us all realize the inevitable....

Please let your friend know that this tragedy has been on the hearts and minds of countless Americans, not just the Japanese. Our heartfelt prayers and best wishes go out to those who lost loved ones in this disaster, and to those who's hearts were saddened by the loss of life in those so young and so dedicated.
