you guys act as if no one lip sings during a concert or performance like this. They always have a recorded track going on. If they're dancing and they're out of breathe, the recorded track comes over and when they're done dancing the live part comes back in and recorded track fades out... not new news

 

There is a difference between singing over the DAT as lead vocals and having the DAT be the lead vocals. In this case the DAT contained the lead vocals which no different than me singing over the radio in my car. She isnt even dancing, or offering any level of significant stage performance. You can at least argue that most of the other people who do not sing are offering a stage performance which almost overshadows the quality or content of the music itself.

It's insulting to try and pass that off as talent.

 

haha.. well yea.. just like music videos... but i jus liked her dance and how she was humiliated...

plus the whole point of SNL is that everything is live?

I was on the phone just as that happened and I was like why did they just cut to commercial? Now that I know the truth, I think it's hilarious.

 

Then at the end she blamed her band for 'playing the wrong song'.
BTW the vocals were edited out on the west coast to make it seem like the band screwed up.
