(sorry for the caps in the subject).

I was speaking with this guy (mid 20's) with an Integra he "hopped up" with...nitrious, type-r headers..etc.. you get the idea.

He also added (get this): BIG-ASS Tailwing (I mean a big-mother too! Probably had to weld the damn thing on), big-ass stickers that covered 80% of the body (from the lower front to the upper rear of the entire side)-- big enough such that the cover the ENTIRE door. -- YES-- it was majorly RICED out. Ohh.. big booming speakers..and some coloring/neon etc...

Now-- he's sitting there talking to me (I'm in my blk/blk s2k) asking if I ever get puller over? I'm like nah..never. I drive like a maniac, frequently topping out 3rd to 4th (90-116) passing cars.. I'm definately not abiding by the local speed limits, etc..

So, he asks, "Well, don't you get pulled over a lot?". I reply with "never". He was amazed. Of course, I indicate that such activity on my behalf considers the situation, environment, surrounds, weather conditions, etc... but non-the-less, I definately like to VTech. (Not that I won't get pulled over 1 day)

He goes on to say how, while he doesn't really do such outlandish things, he gets pulled over like 2x a week. Well... DUH. I flat out told him its because his car is rice out, period.

RICING out == get "profiled" by the cops, IMHO...

Oh well, the cops always goes for cars that attract their attention out of the crowd usually. As you've mentioned, the wing and the stickers, lights etc. They kinda make you stand out in either 2 ways ... One, it looks nice or two, it's look like shit.

 

It's true. Profiling does happen. Although I haven't been pulled over yet since installing my J's racing exhaust last week, I'm definitely eyed with suspicion by Johnny Law now.
BTW amartin, Vtech makes phones, VTEC is the technology in our engines (like Shingles sig says)

Kids get pulled over here for having their cars too low. The more junk you put on your car, the higher profile you are to a cop.

 

Look out too because in many ststes like here in RI you wont pass inspections if your car is lower than 4 inches!!!!

 

Being older has helped alot in that department too. I get pulled over way less now. Sure I still drive fast, and occasionaly blow on by people that have no business on the road, but somehow even in my S2000 I get less attention from the law. Kinda cool considering of the 13 or 14 tickets I got so far only 2 have come in the past 5 years. Ok, i'm feeling old now...
