The Olympics are over :(
Unfortunately, I really have not had a chance to watch the entire Olympics (been working late) but I did catch some of the events and the opening and closing ceremonies. I thought Greece would not be ready for the 2004 Olympics but they certainly shocked everybody!! They put on such a great event which IMO will go down in the record books as one of the greatest Olympiads ever!! They built gorgeous stadiums and facilities for the athletes and spectators and will very likely boost tourism for the mainland, since everyone goes to the Islands. I lived in Glifadtha when I was a kid and shared many great memories. I am very proud my heritage, of them and they should be proud of themselves. For what I saw, it was wonderful. The closing ceremonies were beautiful... sad to see them end yet memorable to all who were there and watching.
i enjoyed watching the olympics. Most of the time I knew what happened due to seeing it on www.yahoo.com first. (bad part about being 6-7 hours behind in time).
They really didn't show a bunch of the sports at all (boxing, skulling, etc..), but I guess those are low interest sports compared to swimming and running.
