I just wanted to post to tell everyone I'll be participating in One Lap of America in May 2007. I'll be doing it with one codriver in a heavily modified 2007 VW Jetta TDI. We will be in the alternative fuel class. I'm very excited. We are currently seaking sponsorships. A VW dealership and a race team have commited so far but there's plenty of room for more stickers if you're interested!

Anyone have any experience, thoughts, suggestions?? thanks!

Excellent! I'm a TDI fan so I'm happy to see one running in the event. If there's a trophy for the least fuel used I'm sure you'll win it. Keep us updated please.

 

a friend of mine did it last year in a stock C5 zo6 and this year they're doing it in a mazdaspeed6. i want to do it too but cost a bit too much and i'm not sure i can take a full week off work to do it. i'll be there at autobahn countryclub. might make it to tire rack
