If anything BMW should be paying them for all the support and free advertising the website garners... I saw bmwm5.com stickers on alot of gumball cars this year.

Actually someone registered there should contact the admins and put them in touch with the EFF. They perform pro bono work of this sort.

tort reform? Why do we need it. Businesses are better protected and can sue more easily now. oh wait that's not the reform you were thinking =)
just a joke, anyhow. I was a little bit sick reading the story of the RIAA taking the life savings of a college student who did nothing wrong.
and not to threadjack either. Try contacting the lawyers or the lawyers bosses directly and resolve the matter peaceably and amicably without the need for litigation.
