A garage worth at least $50/month.
Gas savings will be $70/month (rough estimate of 26 more miles round trip to work)
Dishwasher worth $0/month as your girl should do all the dishes.

$275 > $120. Get the cheaper apt.

I'm also taking into account that regardless of the apartment that I choose, due to having her with me, my total costs are still less than I pay now living on my own. Paying that extra $137.50 I pay in rent isn't making or breaking me. My area is very well known for a lot of high theft of Hondas (what's new?). So I really wouldn't mind the garage.

I already spend thousands! By myself for my shitty 1 bedroom apartment with electric baseboard heat, I'm paying $400 a month. With rent and electricity, I'm at $1000 by myself. Ridiculous.

There's something to be said of having on site washer and dryer. Go with number 1. Number 2 sounds like a hole.

I'm with Raj on this.

I can live without a dish washer in a rental place. A washer and dryer, I can not. I tried for a month or two and it drove me nuts having to use shared machines in the building, or having to go to the laundramat down the road.

Do a little negotiating with the first place, and offer 1000 or so, explaining that there are cheaper units available for rent.
