. . . that the streets in our neighborhood were going to be covered with a thin layer of tar tomorrow, August 6, between 7 AM and 5 PM.
It turns out that I was mistaken.
Apparently people are simply going to arrive and either stand about making disparaging remarks about our streets, or else say things like, "That'th a thtreet, and that'th a thtreet, and . . . ."
Yes, you guessed it: the temporary, no-parking signs posted around our neighborhood do not cite the reason as "street slurrying"; they do, however, mention "street slurring".
