Default The other Honda Convertable

Just wondering if anybody here has a Del Sol kicking around as a beater or daily driver. i was thinking of getting one for myself as I am putting close to 3000 miles a month on my S2000 at the current rate.

Would use it to drive back and forth to school as it is 200+ miles each week. I also have plans to give it to my younger brother in April of next year for his 16th birthday present.

What a 92 or so would run in decent shape with automatic, any problems with the car any other suggestions as what to get, I really like the older integras as well as the older golfs and I have some time to decide so any suggestions would be great. remeber that I have to keep it under 4000 if possible and no truly fast cars as I can already tell his insurance is going to be huge as it is.

From what I can tell, a del Sol even that old will still sell for around $6k, according to the kelly Blue Book.

I don't think you'll find one for $4000.00. They are a nice car, a friend of mine has one. He has had no problems at all in almost 100,000 miles. He drives 70 miles each way from home to work. If you don't mind the size of the car (almost the same as the S2000) then I think you would enjoy driving it every day.

BTW, Honda's "other convertible" was the S500/600... there were no true convertibles between that and the S2000...

I had a del Sol for four years, I sold it to buy my s2000. The car was great. The only problem I had was the plastic parts of the car fading badly. Before the del Sol I had a CRX, I just move from one Honda two seater to the next.
