Actually, it kinda is. I could get a brand new 52" Sony Bravia 1080p for quite a bit less than that.

I guess it's not overpriced if you just like to walk in to Best Buy and let them bend you over. But for an informed shopper... yes it is overpriced.... and the spelling is funny.
