Our local forecast....
So snow is supposed to fall 1 inch per hour for the next 8 hours.
AND
Another like 7 - 10 inches tonight.
The highways around here (Pittsburgh, PA) are already covered with 2 inches or more and the sideroads are at least 4 inches.
I think now that Im all growd up
and not playing in the snow anymore, I HATE THE BASTAGE!!!
This confirms me wanting to move to the Carolinas. I think itll be a nice balance of PA and Florida weather.
I hate the cold. I can stand like low 40s but for example the last 2 weeks were completely in the negatives. Wind chills of like -20.
F this crap, Im moving.
Cya Pittsburgh! Before next winter!

I wish we were getting that kind of snow here. I wouldn't mind staying home from work tomorrow.
BTW, no whining unless you are from Redfield, NY....almost 12 feet of snow in the last 10 days!!

They would close work for that? It takes a lot more than that for work to close here.

I am fine with the bitter cold moving on, and big snowfalls are a PITA, but at the same time they are kind of fun.
I remember one night in college we had 40 inches overnight. Everything grinds to a hlat and then the city digs itself out. At least for us college kids, it was fun trying to get around and watch everything shut down. My friend had a beat up datsun 4X4 that we went out and tried to get stuck in. Sort of like off roading on the road. Nobody else was out. We never got stuck though.
I can't complain about a four inch snowfall. Wait for a sunny day and its gone.
Carolinas are nice though......
