That new drug is called "Sarafem" it is repackaged prozac but it is still prescription. As a doctor, read: object of my profession is to help pleople, I resent many of the statements made above. I don't prescribe anything I don't believe will help my patients.

When many of you obviously know little to nothing about this topic I suggest you watch what you say. It is better to be silent and thought a fool then to speak and remove all doubt. (paraphrasing)

There are genuinely sick people out there who have benefitted immensely (sp) from this class of medications (SSRIs) so just because you have heard an anecdotal third party version about a friend's cousin who reacted badly to a drug don't assume they are all bad. It's very easy to blame the drug. Personal responsibility is a little more difficult.

ahahahah.... try and tell me *all* (or even half) of the kids who are on ridelin need it.? People are just too damn lazy and would rather dummie up the issue and avoid it. I was a hyperactive kid (imagine) who had trouble paying attention in school. Instead of calling it A.D.D. then, it was called "a hyper active kid who had trouble paying attention in school.....just like a bunch of the other 10 year old kids"...but we all made it without mind altering drugs..

How did people survive in the past without this *miracle* drug (prozac or ridelin)?

You personally may not prescribe anything that you feel is not needed, but with sales skyrocketing someone sure as hell is.

Baskin Robbins is thinking about introducing prozac icecream
