Default overpaid, underworked?

Ummmm, please tell me how to be underworked and overpayed. Maybe I dont fit into the S2Ki club!? J/K Sadly I own a car I can barely afford. But I like nice things and am willing to bust my butt with a full time job and take 14 credit hrs in college. Currently I am underpayed and overworked, but to all you who do nothing and make all that doe, I tkae DoNaTiOnS!!! -Carie

Many years ago when the tech boom was still booming, there was a thread started about how little we did at work and how we often skipped out to drive. Cthree noticed, and tagged the forum after us overpaid slackers.

"Wealth comes to those who create it."

Ancient proverb.

You have to MAKE it happen. It won't find its way to you because of your good looks. Set goals, make a plan, work the plan and don't let yourself down.

This is a gauranteed formula for success.

Finish your education first and put all your attention toward that (or at least as much as you can). You'll have plenty of time in the future to enjoy the nicer things in life, and you'll have an easier time doing it if you get the most out of your education. Just my 2 cents.

just about every corporate college-grad level job fits the category.

i've worked for years in jobs where the pay is high and the expectations are low.

I'm an IT guy at a law firm. Downtime is so high. There's not much that can go wrong since most of the end users are just typing in word and saving documents. All I do is surf all day. Technically, I'm at the lower end of the payscale for my job, but I would think that for doing nothing most days I'm overpaid. Definitely looking for another job though. Having nothing to do is cool, but it gets boring really fast. Plus attorney's think you're a necessary evil anyway b/c you're just another paycheck out of their cut so you have to pretend you do a lot.

don't worry about the underpaid part - when you are getting overpayed, you're about to lose your job. Underpaid, they couldn't replace you for less money, so they won't try The underworked part is all relative - coming from years of manual labor, pretty much any office job is "underworked." Coming from working in restaurants, it can seem like "underworked" is a fantasy.
