People who don't know the difference between "then" and "than." Or for that matter, "there," "their" and "they're."

FAAAAAAACK!!

A coworker says "pacific" instead of "specific". It bothers me because I'm not sure if she just can't say it or she doesn't realize she's saying it incorrectly.

She says it on a regular basis. When she does, I momentarily get intense and am set for an epic blowup, but then I ask myself (in my mind) if it's really worth it. It usually isn't.

Irregardless, it still irritates me. I'll prolly mention it to her sometime, perhaps after some onboarding session she's hosting.

There are people at my work that think ideals = ideas. "There were some good ideals in the meeting last week."
Where do you work? The Office?

You do know that post (aside from the first paragraph) was tongue-in-cheek, right?

People that use the word "absolutely" as the standard answer for every question that they dont want to answer "no".

Hey is this book good? Absolutely.

Is Mark here today? Absolutely.

Was she a good lay on the kitchen table after a nice dinner? Absolutely.
Wow, one of the guys I worked with did not know jack sh*t about the work and was such a burden on the team, he would always say absolutely!

Although he does not know crap about what is being discussed, all he would do is shake head and go absolutely!

so annoying!

i heard that for 3 1/2 years EVERYDAY, now every time i hear it i almost come unglued

one more thing that pisses me off, when kids/teenagers and some grown ass people who talk in text message language, when they do this do this, i want to smack the hell out of them

Also, "too much on your plate". Busy has worked for hundreds of years. I'm sure it will adequately describe your schedule.

True story: I hate the abuse of "true story." True story.
