Default Paint ball gun ?

I recently played the paint ball with friends. Damn, I love it.. I think I am gonna buy myself a paint ball gun, cuz the loaner-gun is like water gun, can never aim the target right..!! So, any idea which one is the good one to buy... I mean.... value/performance, since I am new at the paint ball , I don't know much about, mind to share?

derryk i know you have money
i KNOW YOU HAVE MONEY!!
SPEND IT AND BUY AN ANGLE!! BEST GUN ON THE PLANET, or if you want a REALLY good gun, get yourself a smartparts shocker or its new replacement, but something tells me you are new to paint ball?? if you are you dont want anything advanced, so a really good gun would be an AUTOMAG, they are a high quality gun with very few moving parts to maintain. also as you get better you can upgrade your automag quite easily. if you want to upgrade a gun to insane levels i suggest you get an AUTOCOCKER, stock they are decent, but not worth the price, but you can do so manythings with autocockers. most of the best guns right now are heavly modded autocockers. but if you want a really good gun out of the box and dont mind learning about the parts and how to properly maintain a complex gun then get the smartparts inferno(i believe its the inferno, but its basically the replacement to the shocker).

woah i thought i was the only paintballer on this site. i think if theres any question in the world you want to ask you can ask me. ive played semi-pro for over 3 years now and have accumulated quite an array of guns during that time. my two main babies each cost over $1000 each including a full setup and may increase in price with possible upgrades in the near future.

well anyways heres the answer to your question. one are you planning on playing tournaments? is so prepare to be spending a sizable amount of money on the sport then. if your planning on playing recreation ball (forest shoot and play stuff) then you dont really need an expensive setup. second question is how much are you looking to spend on your first gun? 100-200 is a decent cost for a total beginner gun ie the spyder. this gun is an excellent starter gun due to its ease of use, cleaning, and performance. the cost is also very good ranging from about 100 to all the way up to like 500 for a decked out electric model that capable of shooting full auto.

if you plan on spending 300-500 then your best bet is easily the infamous autococker. simply put this gun is the best all around gun for any type scenario for paintballing. the only problem is the maintenance of the gun. compared to a spyder this gun is the bitch gun from hell if you mess with it in the wrong way.

hey sumir,
sorry to burst your bubble but to in my own opinion the amount of money that you pay for an angel gun is simply not worth it. i dont know if you have ever shot one but the gun had pretty good efficiency but thats about it. the gun has decent accuracy but the range is simply one of the worst ranges out there. even when compared to a spyder class gun the range would probably be about the same.

and the shocker aint that great of a gun either. on nitro gas the gun is so badly inefficient its poses to be quite a problem. the gun actually does run better on c02 then on nitro. but the gun does use a rechargeable battery rather then a 9-volt so if you forget to charge your batteries the day before of the event your pretty much shit out of luck.

dunno but in my opinion the best non electro gun is the autococker or the automag. the best electric gun is the diablo matrix. havent really shot the automag too much but the rate of fire and simple maintenance wins me over. the autocockers accuracy and range are by far uncomparable to any other gun out there on the market in the same price range. and sumir, the new 2000 and 2001 autocockers in stock form are excellent guns. dunno where you heard that they are just decent but they are excellent stock. maybe the stock trigger frame can use replacement but thats the only thing besides the barrel of the gun. but then everybody that owns a paintball gun usually changes the barrel anyway so that doesnt really count. well yeah so derrick if you have any questions go ahead and ask. im more then happy to answer any questions you might have. oh and i do have a paintball gun for sale. its a good starter gun and i guess just pm me if you want details okay?

Hi there,

my price range is about $200~$300 for the gun itself (I heard Spyder is good, but not sure), I want the paintball to go straight!!!! cuz you know the loadner paint ball gun, you have to shot in the air to make it go all the way to next building..!! and, yup, I love the auto setup, I could just use the trigger to shoot as long as I feel I should stop. (but figure it may cost more money, so, semi-auto will be good already) so, which one you think that is good? Also, I need anti-fog google.. can you show me the model # that I should go check...(web sites...) so, I could start to look for things..!! I love it..!! by the way, $1000 for the gun..!! huh... no..!!

probably the best all around mask is the JT Thermal Spectra mask. this includes the anti-fog lens and provides the most view out of the goggles. another good choice would be the JT Thermal X-Fire mask. this also has the anti-fog lens but has a slightly smaller goggle. in my opinion i would go with the olive color x-fire. this is due to the fact that the Spectra goggles are such a pain in the ass to remove the lens. the x-fire on the other hand is so simple to remove. oh the reason why you would need to remove the lens is when you get home you would want to clean out all the paint that accumulates on your lens to ensure the clarity of the lens itself. oh yeah an excellent website which i purchase almost 90% of my gear from is www.paintballgear.net the customer service is excellent and they have really good prices too. i believe they might even have a special on the masks right now too.

if you want to spend 200-300 i think you could go with either a spyder or an autococker. depending on whether or not you want to spend 200-300 on gun alone or complete package. i am selling my Spyder Shutter with package( 20 oz Co2 tank, Dye Excel Barrel, 9 volt hopper and elbow) for around $240. If your interested let me know. Its a good gun with minimal wear and tear and is very efficient and reliable. Most Spyders are well known for their ease of use and ease of maintenance. Oh and its anodized red so i believe that will match your car

oh and heres another tip for you. the must important aspect of paintball is to match your paint to your barrel. i would recommend searching the internet for a barrel/paint list. what i mean by this is that not all paintballs are the exact same circumference. the sizes range from .682 caliber to .689 caliber. with the proper fit any gun will shoot its maximum range and accuracy. the barrel im including with the package is rated at a medium bore. this i believe is the .689 caliber and will shoot paintballs rated at medium caliber. if you find the list it will show the paintballs that are rated as medium. but anyways a good medium size paint is the RPS Marballizer. i only shoot this paint or Proball Platinum. i dont shoot any other paint because of the fact that i trust these paint the must to break at least 90% of the time on targets and to shoot the straightest. well derrick once again if you have any other questions feel free to ask.....

sorry i dont have a digital camera to post pix with but you can see what the spyder shutter looks like on www.paintballgear.net and just look for a spyder shutter in red. the website has pix of all kinds of guns on it. the gun barely has scatches on it and i have all parts for it including the box. the only thing i dont have is the original barrel which is fine because it kinda sucked anyways....

chris

well let me know if you like what you see then okay?
