I just got a Palm Pilot Vx as a xmas gift. I am trying to find some websites where I can download free software. YOu guys know of any?

Any other trick and tips for working this thing are also welcome.

This has been discussed a fair amount, try an advanced search on Palm Pilot and you will get lots of results..

Yeah, one tip, if you use it as a true day planner, on the day that you lose the entire database on either the Palm or the desktop (and you will, some day) be very careful about specifying which source overwrites which. I've lost my Palm Vx content 100% but got a perfect hot-sync when i specified the PC to overwrite the Palm.

A buddy here at work did the opposite. He wiped his Palm (a Visor model) out after his PC was accidentally wiped and he specified the WRONG direction for a synch. His bacon was saved by our archived network backups but that was too close.

As of this writing there are 13,342 programs available for download.
