Correct me if I am wrong but only Hep B and D are sexually transmitted.
Hep C can only be transmitted through infected blood. i.e. tattooing or injecting drugs.

I believe that 75% of Hep C victims end up with liver cancer.

 

Hep A is transmitted mainly via the fecal-oral route and not the blood route.
Hep B can be transmitted via : Unprotected sex, Sharing of Needles, Being born to a mother with Hep B.
Hep C can be transmitted via blood transfusion (very rare today), injecting drug use, exposure to a sex partner who has had a history of hepatitis, and having multiple sex partners.
Hep D needs Hep B to exist. So you would need to be infected with the Hep B virus to get Hep D.
There is a 5th form of hepatitis, Hep E which is very rare in this country.
Hepatitis C is a very dangerous form of hepatitis and is deadly. It can take up to ten years for a patient to fully be classified as disease free!
Most likely she got Hep B not from Tommy Lee but from her multiple sexual partners after Tommy. Tommys kids are Hep C free therefore it is unlikely that he has Hepatitis. Who knows where kid rock has been !

 

Hmm, my brother contracted Hepatitis C around 25 years ago from what he claimed at the time was a "tattoo needle" - he died 15 years ago from liver complications. Not a pleasant end.

Fortunately none of his children were afflicted even though both were conceived after he contracted it.

 

My ex girlfriend has it. Likely came from when she was an IV drug user over twenty years before diagnosis. Now that it is an epidemic, there are some great gains being made in drug treatment and prevention of liver failure. Some people have even been cured?/remitted. You can get it from sex but it's a lesser likelihood than blood. Good for me!

A huge number of people have been diagnosed with Hep C in the last decade.
