Yea, it's just an advertisement (you're probably getting a lot of them) and nice open door into your system. What you need to do is disable your messenger service.

Under XP:
Go into your control panel, then select administrative tools, services

Scroll down until you see "Messenger"
Double-click on it and in "Startup Type" select "Disabled"
Under "Service Status" click the "STOP" button
Then click OK

The service will then be stop and will not restart on reboot. It's not necessary for 99.9% of anything a home user would ever use. It doesn't affect Instant Messenger or Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger.

After that, I would make sure you are up to date with all of the Microsoft patches.

www.windowsupdate.com

That's Microsoft's update website.

I'd say that the registrant would have Microsoft Corporation in place of some random guys name... especially from a yahoo.co.uk email address.

Wantone, how is it that you've captured your screen like that? It's okay to make me feel stupid guys, I seriously don't know how.

Cool, now how do I get it to actually print the screen, besides printing from my my image viewing software.
