I don't have a paypal account either and due to all the fraud I see associated with it I never will, but let me get this straight no matter what you sell you can only withdraw $500 a month?

Now if you give them your SS# you can withdraw more? How much more and why can't you just get the proceeds from your sales?

As long as he is typing in www.paypal.com then it is paypal. if the phish email comes looking like that but takes you somewhere else (like www.i amrippingyouoff.com) then it is obviously a scam.

I have been on paypal since about 2000 and haven't been asked about my SS#, but I rarely have a balance of any degree in my account to withdrawl.

Actually you can spoof what the browser tells you - PayPal has ongoing known identity theft issues going on right now. I wouldn't give PayPal my SSN even if it was legit. I also wouldn't keep ANY balance in PayPal's account or in the bank account it links to - its all vulerable to being taken by either a thief or PayPal if it deems it necessary. Juat take the limits as you can, but get the money out of there as fast as you can.
