screw optical. Its just a bunch of marketing crap. Ive had them all, Logitech, Boston, Altec, Creative. None of them can even come close to the Promedias. The promedias had some reliablity issues at first (first 3 batches) but are now running great.

They completely outpower the others by sheer brute force. Unless you live in a soundproof cave, volume clarity is much more important than just plain clarity. Get the promedias and you will never look back.

 

Im pretty happy with my Logitech z680's sounds really good. I got them a couple weeks ago from dell.com, they were a steal at $250 shipped
