If you want something on the Palm platform, check out the Sony Clie. Much better than anything Palm puts out as far as screen resolution and features but still uses the Palm OS. Sony has done quite a bit of innovation on the Palm platform and has pretty reasonable prices. I think Palm has been living off of their name for too long and needs to design some better products to compete with Sony. Go to a store and check them out.

What pda do you currently have? If you currently have a Palm or something compatible, chances are you can transfer your info into another new Palm. Same with Pocket PC -> Pocket PC. I'm not sure about inter-platform transfers though. You probably could copy Palm to Pocket PC and vice versa too, because of the two companies trying to gain market share.

I used to use a Palm V. I switched to the Handspring Treo, which is a palm/phone combination. I was able to move all my data from one device to another, pretty easily. I don't remember how I did it though

I think it's the sync to desktop method I described.
