i'm back in because of a lack of communication and straight up douchebaggery

i knew my well control certification was going to expire next week, i've been telling my supervisor since the beginning of july to schedule my classes, they told me just to be at the heliport at the normal time tuesday morning, well i get settled in and start my shift yesterday, i knock off and go to the galley to eat my dinner, i get call to the com room with a phone call, I AM NOT ALLOWED ON A PLATFORM WITH OUT A TWIC CARD,

so after getting detained by the coast guard, i get to get my bags and board a coast guard helicopter to come home, we get back to the heliport, TSA was waiting for me, after a search they find nothing, and let me go


here's the kicker,
i call in to my supervisor earlier telling him what happened, he tells me "oh i was supposed to tell you about the TWIC situation a few MONTHS ago"
i ask if he scheduled my classes yet and he told me yea but i won't be able to go back out until i get my TWIC.........fine or so i thought
i go to the TWIC office in houma, it's $132.50 to enroll, no guarantee i will get it, AND the process takes 8 weeks

so for 8 weeks the only income our house hold will be receiving will be my wifes paycheck which isn't much at all

 

Tell that MFer he owes you 8 weeks of pay

Sounds like you may need to buy the service stations you talked about. Be your own boss.

 

filthy beast i work for w&t offshore, when i talk to corporate about the incident my supervisor is getting canned , and i'll get my pay for his f**k up

Man your supervisor is a complete jackass. Did your other workmates have to go through the process? I find it ridiculous that the fact you needed this wasn't better publicized.
