I just don't understand how you can't notice your dog in the car.

My dog is always moving around to get most wind in his face he can.And I have never once seen a dog sit still when being parked in a car.

Also don't know about other people,but whenever i see a dog/dogs in a car I check to make sure they have proper ventilation and water available to them....9 outta 10 times they never have water,infact earlier this summer when it was 80 degrees out I noticed a lab without water in an SUV parked outside of a department store,made a note of it went inside and was back out in 10 minutes still no owner so I called the humane society...took them 20 minutes to get out...still no owner,lady finally came back out after nearly 45 minutes and a few minutes after the police arrived(as they were planning on getting the car unlocked).

She said she was only getting a few things and wasn't inside for long,they explained to her the time frame, after that she was trying to get argumentative with me saying it none of my business and I shouldn't be snooping around peoples cars. Anyway dog lapped up a half gallon of water non-stop before the police wrote her a ticket and everyone went on there way.

I'm not surprised at leaving the dog in the car...
