Default Pet peeves

My newest pet peeve...

I purchased something on ebay and promptly paid the seller like I always do. They ship the item, it gets to me in a couple of days and everything is peechy, right?

WHY do sellers hold your feedback hostage? If I pay you promptly, then why do you wait for ME to give you feedback before you post mine? Regardless of what I say about you or what I purchased from you...I didn't do anything bad, thus you should give me my feedback first.

From now on, the next time I buy something on ebay and I don't get my feedback first, I'm going to leave them negative feedback until they get the point that sellers should leave feedback first.

That logic works until you get to the part where they have your feedback hostage, leaving you with some bad feedback.

I don't care. I think I'm going to target people with 100% feedback just so I can ruin perfect status.

And what can they say? "He left me negative feedback so I'm leaving him negative feedback."

That won't cut it.

so you will leave them negative feedback because they didn't leave you good feedback timely......sounds like something Costanza would try.

I agree that some sellers suck.... that is life...

Using that same logic i guess I should flip off anyone who doesn't smile at me first????

No. There's no obligation in regards to a smile. You can smile at anybody you see fit. However, when I did my part and purchased the item and paid promptly I shouldn't have to give them positive feedback just to get the feedback that I was already entitled to.

Didn't you ever concider they weren't going to leave any feedback because you simply paid for the item promtly like everyone should? But when you leave positive feedback on the seller, they feel obligated to return the favor. Now you feel it's some sort of obligation on their part, but don't want to do anything for them at all. Sounds like a personal problem to me.
