I am not trying to sound like a prick... but I have to ask...I have always wondered this...and those pictures reminded me...

Why do starving kids bellies stick out so far? Is it becasue they are swollen from being hungry?

The one from Rwanda is particularly disturbing to me as well. While the images of destruction on a grand scale are indeed sad, I often find it is the ones that bring the feeling to a personal level that have the most impact

Just did a search, here's the short answer: "the distended stomach, which is an indicator of wasted diaphragm muscle and parasite infestation."

as nice as the others look, i'm only curious why you didn't render the S in "Nighthawks" to make it fit a little better...

define fit better?

--making it into a painting like the rest of the shot?
--is it too big where I placed it? or angle off maybe?

the lighting on the car is obviously way off but it was close enough

all of those are just 5 or 10 minute quickies so i didn't really go the extra mile on them. none of them are overly outstanding....except the Tiananmen Square
one...I was proud of that one

my question is serious though as I really like getting feedback and critique on stuff
