I read the book. It's fun at first, but the author, Neil Strauss, gives you a good lesson in the end. These guys trying to learn the game are losers. They base their whole lives around women, and though they might be able to dupe a girl into bed, the next day, they'll be the loser the girl made a horrible mistake with. These guys will get worked over my someone who has game any day of the week. If you don't have it, don't try to compensate by pulling tricks. Have a nice night!

I've listened to the CDs, and read some of the articles. Like Alex said, it's a matter of if you don't have it, it won't work. There are very good things to learn from it, but most guys (especially on the show) will play by-the-book pickup game, and it doesn't work. I've seen the show once, and it's completely retarded.

I've learned a lot, and I've worked it into my material, but I never use their "method." Besides, nowadays, women are reading about it, and are starting to catch one when people do certain things. Buddy of mine got called out on a "neg" a couple weeks ago, and ruined his set.

I'd rather spend my time building up my personality, interests, hobbies and making myself a well-rounded person rather than tricks to get a girl in bed.

Here's the thing gentlemen, its great insight for those who are clueless. Its something that you naturally already do (if you approach women), but what it did for me was enable me to realize the approach and put it to a name. Probably still doesn't make sense to you, but what I've realized is if I know what stage of conversation I am in with a woman, I can appropriately move the conversation into a different "frame" of mind (ie. comfort, attraction, seduction).

The guy above me for instance, would:

"rather spend my time building up my personality, interests, hobbies and making [himself] a well-rounded person rather than tricks to get a girl in bed."

Thats something you're going to have to do anyway, if you don't think your personality, interests, hobbies and well-roundedness are up to par... neither will a woman. Its called value level and you're already building higher value level because you are aspiring to become a better person.

What do you mean Nick, I'm already doing Pick-up!? In a way, you are. You're making yourself appealing so that when you do talk to a girl, you have a grip of value and she will be attracted to you sooner. I take Pick-up at face value, its excellent motivation... absolutely stunning motivation to me. It made me realize one HUGE thing about myself that I'll share.

You don't have to have your dreams if you're ambitious about making them.

Literal meaning, I don't have to be successful if I'm extremely motivated and ambitious about becoming successful, I project that clearly to a girl I'd like to know better and it has the same effect.

Eh... I already am with a girl I plan on being with for the rest of my life, so these games and lines don't mean anything to me.

Mystery looks like a tool to me. Wtf is up with those damn goggles?

That said though, I do think most of his methods make sense. I just think the show is stupid and probably staged somehow.
