Default Pics from the local air show

Here's a few pics I took at the Eglin AFB air show this past weekend. I've got a bunch more, but these are all I've uploaded just yet. Enjoy! (note: the Mustang pics came out so well that I left 'em at full size and resolution...click on them to get the full effect).

Awwwwww man!!

The Travis Air Expo (Annual Airshow at Travis AFB) has been cancelled this year due to what's goin on in Afghanistan. That really pissed me off, damn Osama! So, I have to wait a whole nother year before I get to go to another Air Show! I love Air Shows and I don't wanna wait.

Ah well, great pics, the Thunderbirds are an awesome group, (better than the Blue Angels IMO). And did you get to see that Mustang fly? Those are awesome birds... I aim to own one of them one day too

The P-51s are definately cool. Something about 1500 HP rumbling As for buying one, I doubt $500k could still get you a flying P-51. No matter, I'll stick to watching them!

One of the benefits of growing up in Oshkosh, WI was getting to see the EAA fly-in/convention every year - dozens of warbirds all in formation. Not to mention just about everything else that can fly.

there was another air show here in norfolk,va to celebrate the azalea festival. i had a great view from my friend's backyard of bi-planes, f-14s, f-18s, and what look to be a couple of migs flying. the best was seeing the b-2 in action. just a massive silent wing through the air. about the only downside was that my alarm kept going off because of the sonic booms.

Okay, last set for now...as usual, click on 'em to see full size.

Gotta love when you can see the condensation forming above the wings during maneuvering

Great shots. thanks for sharing. The Point Mugu Air Show was cancelled after two airmen were killed in an F4 crash on the Saturday show. we were all set to go on Sunday. Have to wait for the Edwards Air Show in October.
