Well these pics make it official, I LIKE THE OLD STYLE.

What the heck are they doing, trying to make it look like every other car here. Thats the charm of the mini, being something totally different and still cool.

I am NOT impressed by the new look Ill just have to get a used one.

I wonder what has happened to the mini weight wise. It looks like the new S is going to weigh a bunch more. I read it will be a 6 speed.

I like both, although the original is the only one that will live up to it's name of mini.

Nothing can compare to the original mini cooper.
In its day it was awesome.
The germans just want to cash in on true British heritage.
The new one looks good though.

The thing I liked about the original mini was that everything was extra. You could mod it as much as you wanted, or however much you could afford. Nearly all the accessories were supposed to make it "go faster" - from the add-on headlamps, to the chrome GB logos and racing stripes. And if you were lucky enough to own a Mini Cooper 'S', you were obviously a celebrity or at least, a very rich dude.

I had a friend who had a BRG Mini, a 70s model with a semi-automatic gearbox. Never got a chance to go for a ride in it....he didn't keep it for very long.

I'd love to own an original "old" Mini, maybe one of these days
