Let it out brother.. i hate stupid customers too...some coworkers keyed customer's car who don't tip him more than one time..specially bmw and benz on the drive way and don't tip........so many stories to tell..... .i know how u feel.....
yeah average like 20 to 25$ an hours. i used to deliver pizza 4 yrs ago with my 94 prelude. the car smell like pizza after a while. so i sold my prelude and bought 93 corolla and put 120k miles in 3yrs i wouldn't do with my s2000. it's not worth it..

My tips were about the same, no matter what income level of the neighborhood i was in.Just cause your rich doesn't mean your obligated to tip the pizza boy more money for the same service.

One thing I don't like is how the delivery person is held accountable for everything, most of the time delays are caused by traffic, the crew actually making the pizza's,....heck my average delivery time was 14 and half minutes, throw in 10 minutes prep/cook time and you got a hot pizza at your door in less than 30 minutes.

The delivery's to the drunks are by far the best, i once was given a $50 bill for like $32 in pizza, guy could barely stand when he answered and told me to keep the change lol.

I did delivery before for my friends Chinese restaurant in my s2k as well when he was short on people. It IS kinda funny some people comment, "Is that your car? " Even funnier when my friend or the partner has to do the deliveries themselves & pull up in a BMW M6 and a Lexus IS350 the look on the customers faces

i heard the most insurance companies will refuse to cover pizza dilivery vehicles due to people wrecking back in the "...in 30 minutes or it's free" days.

not entirely true...

the thing is, most people have insurance for transportation to and from places. work, school, shops, whatever. but if you drive for a living, ie pizza delivery, there's additional insurance you would need to cover that, legally speaking.

or at least, that's the case with state farm.

I'd be shocked if more than 10% of pizza delivery drivers carry special Insurance.

I feel your pain. I used to deliver for 3 years (pre S2000). It's amazing how little you get tipped when deliver to a $500k house. I moved and started delivering in an area with a lot of college kids and bars. It was a local business so thankfully not many broke college kids ordered. But, there were a lot of bartenders and servers living in the area and they tipped great. I guess when you actually work for a living, you can appreciate it more.
Oh so true. I delivered when I was in HS (mid 80's...in an MG) and would go to these fancy homes and I was lucky if I got $1 tip. I'd go to a working class home and get tipped more. I guess the rich think tipping is "only for the little people".
