PlayStation 2 Network Adapter.... reviewed... ^__^
Basically: OMFG! A whole new world of PS2 multiplay.
I bought Auto Modellista about a week ago, and got really into it. I noticed that it had the "Online: Broadband" logo, so today, I bought the PS2 Network adapter. 10 minutes, I was up and running in Auto Modellista against "HoNdAcIvIcBoY" and promptly used my hopped up S2000 to complete cream him into the pavement. Absolutely ***NO*** lag whatsoever.
My only tip would be to get a cheap-o USB keyboard to plug into the PS2 USB port so that typing would be SO much easier
Next of the games to buy: SOCOM and Tribes: Aerial Assault ^__^
So:
Ease of installation: Basically, pull off the back expansion port cover, plug in the adapter, use a coin to tighten the two screws. Plug in network cable. Insert setup disk. Follow instruction booklet directions. You're ready to rock. 10/10
Online Gaming: Wow.... just... wow. Auto Modellista becomes an entirely new game online. Taking part in an 8 person race is just incredible.... I highly suggest that those people thinking about getting a Network Adapter... GET ONE and race me ^__^ I am LordVagabond in the Auto Modellista rankings and player lists
I'll get some screenies or vids when I can so you all can see and hear my hopped up S2000 in action ^____^

Foolio: Auto Modellista isn't in the same league as GT3. AM strives to be more like a cartoon vs a real driving game. It is WAY too easy to drift in AM, unless you get really good at the thumbstick for steering or get a GT Force wheel. GT3 still kicks the absolute panties off AM. The upsides of AM tho are cel shaded graphics that make it look really nifty, plus the online feature. While many don't like AM, I do like it because it feels like I'm playing an anime show... plus the fact taht I punched a wall after loosing the Uro Rokku downhill race by .5 of a second... didn't know I was *THAT* into it
hehe ^_^
hehe ^_^
i have socom, but i really havent taken the time to learn the controls in order to play it yet.
i had the beta version of AM and after playing that for about a month, i decided not to purchase it.. i need GT4 right now!!

SOCOM really does rock!
I liked it just for the single player alone. Online play can be glitchy and there are bugs that players can exploit. The best way to deal with them is just quit and find a different room to play in.
Just sold SOCOM the other day and thought about getting rid of my adapter. Decided to keep it for whenever they realase the hard drive so I can use it as a server. Just not a fan of online gaming.
After hearing that the handling on AM is crap compared to GT3, I don't think I'll get it.

There are glitches on the maps of SOCOM, yes. However, most of the rooms you go in are full of people who are there to play, and play fair. The people who like to use the glitches usually make their own rooms specifically for glitching. The game is the only online game I think is worth buying, so far
