lol I would usually wait too, but since I have become a Halo freak, the reason I didn't wait for the first Xbox to drop its price and don't regret it a bit. I will deffinetly have a Xbox on preorder as well as the rumored Halo 2.5, Halo 2 with the stuff they couldn't fit in. Don't know if it's true or not, but Xbox would never debut without a Halo title. So my hopes are high.

 

Oh yeah as for being a halo freak and not waiting lol, I waited for an hour and a half and recieved halo 2 at about 12:35 the night was released.

 

i waited for about 45 minutes, around midnight at the local best buy, with about 20 other "freaks" who did nothing but talk about halo and how much they play. mind you, these are 20-30 year old guys... who say they play halo 10-15 hours a day.....

I was on the phone with someone, and said, man, i'm stuck here with bunch of losers waiting for Halo 2 to come out.. how sad is that....

and my friend goes, um dave... aren't you at BB waiting for Halo 2 as well? i looked around... and realized my fate.. was sealed..

 

lolol yeah there's some crazy ones out there, there was almost a 100 people or more in line at my local Gamestop when it was released.

 

I walked into a store that had about 50+ people in line for Halo 2 the day of its release but I did not know it was Halo 2 day. A hacker buddy had the pirated french version on his Xbox that had leaked about a month before release so I had played it a little already.

Fortunately for me, I have a friend that works for some sort of video game industry group, and he gets me copies of what I want as freebies but I have not asked for anything in a while. Still have not taken the shrink wrap off my Halo 2.

I want to get Mercenaries, and the new Lego Star Wars game when it comes out. I guess I need to make a phone call. Too bad I don't know somebody that can get me free cars............
