Please explain Monitor Refresh Rates and dpi.
When I look for computers, I know a high refresh rate at like 800x600 or 1028x7xx whatever the number is, should be high. Now with dpi, verticle and horizontal? what's the deal? What's better, a .21mm? or .28? Is it true that right now that flat crt's have higher resolutions than flat lcd's? Someone help me before I get suckered into a monitor choice.
what you call dpi is really dot pitch, which is the resolution. smaller number = better
dpi=dots per inch, where bigger=better but usually only used in printing
refresh rate is the frequency that the screen is updated. higher the better.
