Don't worry, the S2k is staying in the garage. I need to get new cars for myself and my wife. I have about $6,000 to put down for both cars and would like to keep the payments for both combined at about $700/mo. What do you guys think? I was thinking accord & prelude. What are your opinions? I want something 4 door and something a little sporty.
Thanks

How about these:

Acura Integra 4 dr
Honda Accord EX
Honda Civic EX
Honda Insight
Mazda Protege ES
Nissan Sentra SE or upcoming SE-R
Toyota Prius hybrid (ok, its not sporty exactly)
Saturn LS series V-6

Just to name a few off the top of my head.....

I think the Sentra SE is a really nice, sporty (little) car especially for the money ($16,000)

I'm always biased towards Honda cars, so i'd suggest picking up a couple of off-lease 2yr old cars so you can get all the options, like an Accord EX and an Integra LS or GS for about 14-16k each. That should allow for about a $300-370 payment on each after the 3k down on each.

Otherwise, Mazda has some amazing prices on their cars and from what I've seen, their cars are definitley underpriced for how long they last etc...

Good luck!

With only $6000 down I don't think you could get the Accord & Prelude and keep your payments as low as $700. If you can go for it.

There are some fun cars coming very soon.

Four door cars I would look at:
Accord
The small Volvo What's it called V40? I've driven them and they drive very well and are reasonably priced.
PT Cruiser
VW Passat
Mazda Protege
Integra
Sentra SE

Sporty:
WRX!
SVT Focus, I like this one, it will be a sleeper like the early CRX's.
Sentra SE-R
Integra Type-R or whatever they call the new one.
Civic Si

There's also a bunch of cool used cars in the price range.

I forgot that one, I can't wait to drive the Mini and the SVT Focus. The Mini will win the COOL factor hands down.

I would have to agree with the WRX, SVT Focus, and the Mini as my options.

What is the mini? I have not heard of this one. By the way, the new Civic is pretty cool. Cheap too.

Forgot about the SVT Focus and the Subie WRX. The Focus will come with 170 ponies......quite a few for that little car

Yeah, I think the Mini wins the cool factor though

Go classy. Get a 5th gen Prelude. Get the OEM underbody kit. You're done. Sweet car.

For the wife, no clue.
