Yes, I see your point. It's like someone with a body in his closet asking can't we just all forget about the dead guy?

The point is that so many of those who personally attacked Bieg had VOTA signatures on their posts, but would never tell us it stood for VOICE OF THE AFTERMARKET, even when asked. Worse, I'd guess that those who really went after Bieg and insisted that he be banned were charter members of VOTA.

You all must have had a really good laugh in your PMs while that shameful attack on Bieg was being coordinated. I notice you officially stayed out of it Greg. Active behind the scenes were you?

Listen here, Mr. 2X6spds. I am going to say this ONE TIME. If you cannot get it, you are either too dense to realize it or just refuse to believe it.

This is the LAST TIME I WILL TOUCH THIS TOPIC.

I NEVER ASKED FOR BIEG TO BE BANNED. EVER

I am on the record as saying that and if you care to actually read it for yourself, just search my posts, where I said over and over that I thought banning him was a bad move and I did NOT support it.

Take your childish accusations and stuff them where the sun doesn't shine, I'm tired of your games...

Please...get over it and leave me out of your petty crap, it's tiring.

Yes, I recall all your posts as to how you intended to take the high road and I'm aware of your official position on the banning of Bieg. You and Nick must have had quite a laugh off stage when Bieg was banned. Just my opinion, Greg.

Err-

Hang on, 2x6spds. I wasn't the only one who was reinstated here. In fact, I was reinstated earlier than expected. And that someone else was reinstated, period, after being banned "for life." Keep in mind too I had no problem taking responsiblity for my actions either.

As for VOTA, that's purely for kicks and grins. It's much, much bigger than I had ever thought it would be (from starting as a joke). Sorta like the Chicago 7, which is also pretty damn funny!

FYI- Since being back, I've "learned" to use the ignore list. It's a drastic measure, and I don't like using it, but for the grief one or two of the people here put me through with their obvious ignorance and also their frequent posts, I thought that anything they would have to say that I would agree with would be so little that not seeing them here would be fine with me- hence the use of the "ignore" list. Neither of you two can seem to post at this site without banging heads. It reminds me of a couple of people I know...

Well, it's certainly true that you are entitled to your opinion, no matter how obtuse, incorrect, out of phase, or misguided it may be.

Sorry to go against the grain, but I support the ban on Bieg, and refused to use the VOTA tag because I thought it was a little tasteless under the circumstances. Not everything is as black and white as we would like.

I hope this doesn't exclude me from any of the intoxicating beverage sessions of either VOTA members or the 2x6, SilverFog et al crew.

AusS2000-

I had been using the "VOTA" tag for quite some time- well before any of the latest fireworks.

It started when someone started calling me names, an action supposedly not allowed here. I thought it was pretty funny. One of his better moments, if you ask me. And he's probably laughing at it too...

All it is to me, now, is a reminder that things are far less serious here than the real things in life.

It wasn't a "club", a community or a group... all it was, was a joke- something that some specific people here thought was funny too, at the time. I didn't know there was a problem with being in on jokes.

And now...

It's still funny. That label, "the Voice of the Aftermarket" is as funny as Greg Stevens being called "a Shill" or "the PT Barnum of the S2000 community." I still call him that to his face, eh SHillboy? If only the people who I get my parts from held me in such high esteem...

Considering the laws that be don't allow namecalling, I thought that was about as blatant as it could have got. Even though it was blatantly funny. As for being banned, or suspension of priviledges- I remember quite distinctly asking C3 several times what was being allowed on that thread. And- I remember publicly asking C3 for, and getting, permission to flame. Sometimes you have no choice but to roll in the shit with the pigs... (that was SO not intended to be a pun...) I never asked, requested, or insisted anyone to be banned. We're all big boys and big girls here (that's you Greg!) and we can handle the consequences of our own actions.

As for the brews- as far as I'm concerned most of the people here are more than welcome to join us at the Player's Club in Chicago, at the tracks, or where ever we happen to meet up...
