Supras are GREAT cars...I loved my '97, and it was as reliable as you could expect of a 480hp supercar. I'm having more fun w/ my S2000, but they each have their respective strengths and weaknesses. Biggest problem w/ the Supra is finding a good one that hasn't been modified more than you'd like or thrashed too hard - they're real popular w/ street and drag racers these days.

Out of everything I've driven over the last few years, though, I'd go for the new M3 if I wanted something different (not that I can see that happenning anytime soon!).

Yeah, its a supra.
I wanted the new M3, but couldn't pay that much over sticker, and definitely don't have the patience to get on the waiting list.
Considered the Z06 too, for a second or two.

I know what you mean about finding a good one.
To be honest I have been looking for some time.
But recently it has become more serious, where I was actually ready to buy.
How does a 1998 TT 6sp with 17K miles sound?
Bone stock.

Like I said, I am still waiting for all the paperwork to come through. I should know tomorrow for sure.
I already paid a deposit and signed and faxed all the paperwork.

Bone stock is a good sign...it usually means the owner wasn't a real enthusiast, b/c they're so easy to modify that most owners have already done at least BPU.

Here are some pics of my old Supra, wish I could have justified keeping it and the S2k.

Just be careful...it's super easy to make them dangerously fast for the streets. I should know, I had a couple of close calls! I could chirp the tires on the 3-4 upshift, and things happened a lot more quickly than they do in the S2K. Of course, I could have turned the boost down, but it's psychologically hard to pass up free HP.

Ok guys,

It looks like its final.
I just faxed them the final papers.
I am hitting the road tomorrow morning heading up to
Illinois to pick it up (1300 mile trip).

Here is a pic of what I bought.
