Still, the cop is a cop and should respect the authority he has been granted, not beat on people like some spoiled kid.

Reading other news in that town, it sounds like a mess, period.

Snyder owes $100K in child support, so he's no angel.

The cops hadn't been paid in two pay periods, since the town is broke.

Looks like a lot of people are under a lot of pressure and this thing just brought a lot of it out. That cop was definitely in the wrong, though, but that Snyder guy probably has a bit of history as well.

I wouldn't count on it. It's extremely difficult to get much of a judgement against police officers, or the state in general for that matter. They don't even have any money, where are you going to get it from?
