(Poll) Hypothetic question about our S2000
Nothing wrong with the Miata. I plan on having one again because it is so affordable, fun, and basically bullet proof. It could just be a car that I end up keeping for the long haul.
Love my S2K obviuosly, as I traded my 4 month old 2001 Miata for it, but the fun and simplicity of the Miata is hard to beat. I can't imagine any of the other choices being as much fun for a long period of time.

Already have the S2K, so I would definately take the TT. I'd rather have the hardtop though. It would be great with the AWD to get me through winter better. Plus it's a hot car that I don't see a lot of.

Hey, I've driven, and autocrossed, a Miata, and agree it's a great car, esp. for the money...but as far as I can tell, the S2000 eclipses it in every aspect, plus you don't have to live w/ the stigma of the Miata's image as a gay man's car (not my impression, just what everyone tells me whenever I've tried talking it up in the past).

Well, as soon as my Miata gets beaten by an S2000 then i'll agree perhaps 10%. But i've yet to be beaten by an S2000 in an autocross, so it's hard to say it eclipses it in every aspect.

Also, it's interesting that you are comparing your modified Miata to stock S2000's... An S2000 in full Street-Prepared trim would smoke a Miata in SP trim, if driven by evenly matched drivers - And I don't think that anyone can argue that. Here are the RTP results from our last autocross... see for yourself: http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/2001/event1.html
Headed down to the Ft. Worth Tour this evening... Maybe we'll get a chance to see if I can get that 10% out of you.
I'll be driving the Yellow S2000, #193 A-Stock. Hope to see you there!
When first I got my S2000, I went to a friends house at night. I went inside and told him I got a new car, and I told him to look outside. Because it was dark, he couldn't see that well, and he said to me, "You got a Miata??? Why'd you get a girlie car?"
We then went outside, and he realized that it was no Miata, and it was no girlie car. When he saw that it was a Honda S2000, he said , "Awesome!!!" After that, I couldn't shut him up about how awesome it was.
The Miata definitely does have a more feminine personality than the S2000. With the S2K, not only do the girls love it, so do the guys. The guys at work talk about it all the time. They all want to go for a ride. If I had a Miata, they wouldn't be nearly as enthusiastic about it.
You can put as many mods in a Miata as you like, but you won't get a thumbs up from guys in C5 Corvettes and Beemers etc. The Stook is in a different league than the Miata. Incidentally, women and gay men love the new Beetle. You won't catch me driving a new beetle!!!
