This isn't pop-up killer software, but it works really well.

In IE, click Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom Level, scroll down to Scripting, Active Scripting. Click on Disable for Active Scripting. Click OK, and OK. Now JavaScript won't work, but you have successfully stoppped pop-up windows from those porn and hacker sites. You might find some porn sites that require active scripting to be on, they can fk off, as far as I am concerned.

You have to do this every time, which gets irritating, but you get to know the routine, and it becomes less of a hassle. Things like Hotmail require JavaScript, so you need to check your email before turning off active scripting, or wait until you are done visiting pop-up sites.

To turn active scripting back on, just go to Tools, Internet Options, Security, and click Default level, OK and OK.

Java is different than JavaScript. That will not disable popups from occuring.

Panicware's software works well. I've used it in the past.

I use panicware's software, works great. Now I can search those porn sites, and not worry about 50 windows opening at once on me!

Just wondering... I was on Kazaa Downloading some backed up music I already had... I would get a popup on about any site I went to, even this one. I tried the popup programs which some sites, you need them.

If this is the case, make sure it didn't install any spyware. It took me 2 weeks to figure out. Just look in Add/Remove programs and you can delete it there. There's also some activeX controls you can delete through IE.

I use POW!. It's freeware and 100% customizable database that you build yourself. I love it.
