pop yo collar!
I had a conversation last night with new girl and when I told her I want her to take me shopping and give me some kind of style she suggested hitting up Holt Renfrew for a purple golf shirt. I explained that purple on men is recognized as a visual indication of homosexuality and so she offered to make out with me publicly at random intervals when I wear it. She also suggested the purchase of a pink version of said shirt. I panicked. I threatened to pop my collar and grew super large biceps, tan-up, and get a barbwire armband tattoo if she made me wear one of those.
Apparently we're now heading to Banana Republic for our next shopping trip. I'll be the one in the khaki trousers with a sweater tied around my neck.

Here is a little story about popped collars.... A couple of years ago when the popped collar thing came back arround I was at the beach with the extended family. One of my cousin's GF's was saying how cool my Uncle BOB (name changed to protect the guilty) and up to date with the style since he had his collar popped.
Her world was a little crushed when I told her that Uncle Bob never stopped popping his collar in 1986 when everyone else did.
Moral of the story, if you stay with a style long enough, it will come back into style and you will be "with it" again.
