For a brief period of time, I used to perform the same duty that poor soul did while attached to a ship with a CH-46. It's not work you'd consider the safest job in the world and seeing those pics was a stark reminder of the dangers our men and women endure on a daily basis in the military. Sad.

 

My best friend from the age of 2 is graduating from West Point this year and will be serving his 4 years as a helicopter pilot... I trust his abilities but from what I hear his life could be put in danger by a mistake made by any of his crew. Gets me a little concerned but I'm sure it will be an amazing experience.
