It certainly is a shock when you come into the board and the same person has posted literally to every thread in every forum.

I ask people to do things (or not do things) and I end up with a huge argument or debate or they just ignore me. Then when I act to resolve the situation myself they get all indignant and act shocked.

Why?

I like seeing the post count but just posting for the sake of it is pointless. If the post count is removed I won't complain. Since I've been on DSL the post whoring hasn't bothered me. For those on a dial-up I can see where it could quickly become a problem.

Post Whoring has not been a major issue with me (as I do it occasionally too), but I do understand the frustration of having to scroll through useless posts. That being said though, I just choose to ignore it and be done with it.

As for the Post-count thing, I think many of the younger or newer members feel more pressure to get a high post count to feel more like they belong, regardless of the fact that some have abosolutely anything to do with S2000's or the thread topics. i say keep the post counts so that we can help those people with their self esteem.

I really wanted to be a post whore on this topic, but I guess I actually contribiuted a little this time.

I like the custom title suggestion ... Really, I do.

Would it be OK to lock this thread and keep it to the thread in site info?

We are all guilty of this from time to time.
I think now the issue has been brought up, people will become more considerate.
I know I will.
