Default a powerful contrast...

From wantone's posts...

Two young American boys wishing the best for their father. Innocence.

10 to 15 year old Iraqi boys who are armed soldiers, soon to be combatants of war. Innocence lost.

, I have much compassion for all of these Iraqi children who must be projected and engaged in war at such an early age, may God watch over them, and all those who are involved in the war effort... I also hope that families in the United States don't have to lose their fathers... the way this thread has been interpreted makes me sick to the stomach...

Did I say those poor Iraqi kids made a choice? NO. Please don't put words in my mouth...

This is a stark contrast showing what the evil regime of Saddam has done, forcing poor, innocent children into the military to be combatants. Forcing them to fight without them even understanding fully what they are doing or fighting for. Hence innocence lost.

Razor I think you misunderstood mav. He feels sorry for those poor Iraqi children who have to take up arms.

What sux is that if these kids ever kid into combat situations, I'm sure the opposing convoy will have no choice but to fire back and kill some if not all of the kids.

The ones that don't die and escape will only grow up hating the Americans/British because of what they went through, and the fact that other soldier boys were killed by American/Britain adults.

How effed up is that? If I was being fired upon by a child, I would do anything and everything to protect my team mate and myself.....just remember, a soldier fights not because he hates the person/group he's fighting in front of him, he's fighting because he loves the people beside and behind him.

I am not a huge fan of this war, for whatever it's worth.

I am saddened by countries that employ children in warfare.

All I can say is that these poor kids can surrender just like their older brethren to avoid serious harm.
