If your not going to use it often then you might want to rent one. It should only cost around $40 to rent.

HomeDepot rents em

But look out, once you use one you will think of all sorts of uses. I got one and know I cant live w/o it.

I bought a Northstar at www.northerntool.com

3000psi 6HP Honda gas engine I originally bought 120V version and it kept popping my 15A breaker.

Just make sure you learn your nozzle tips. Some can cut right through a stone. Also, pressure washers are NOT good for pavers or any kind of joints that are cemented or grouted. The pressure chips at the stuff, and eventually, will wear it down all the way.

^^^what he said

Also, make sure you are very careful when changing nozzles. I misjudged a nozzle's lock-in and pulled trigger. Next thing I know nozzle's missing. Dammit!

2 weeks later my neighbor (with a knowing grin) tells me he found a "brand new" nozzle in his garden over 100 ft away!

A loose nozzle can become a dangerous projectile.
