Excerpt: NW BEXAR COUNTY -- A San Antonio man is dead and his son is now charged with murder.

The shooting happened Thursday night on Saddle Trail near Boerne Stage Rd.

Bexar County deputies report Elton Smith and his 35-year-old son, Kristopher, had been arguing all day. The fight escalated and investigators say Kristopher shot his 61-year-old father.
