Default Proper pronunciation of "Tein?"

Ya, ya know...the the Japanese suspension guys. I've heard...

"Tain" (like "pain").
"Tine" (sounds like "time").
"Tee-yen"
"Teen"

I've been saying "tain" the entire time. No one has ever really corrected me, but just wanna know if I'm saying it right.

i heard a jap dude say it once...so i asked him the same question a and he said it is tain (rhymes with gain)??thats how i aslways said it

Well if we go by japanese pronounciation, TEIN is made up of 3 syllables...

TE-I-N, say it normally and it sounds like "pain".
