prove your geekyness!
I was geekier in high school than all of you combined. First, I went to a boarding school called the texas academy of math and science. There I was president of the geek club. Here are some of the activities we did for fun:
- memorized hundreds of digits of pi and other trancendental numbers
- created and administrated some of the first MUDs (online text based dungeons and dragons)
- boosted CB radio wattage to get further range. this is before we could afford ham radio.
- decoded the last info society "peace and love" modem track
- programmed viruses for fun
- held a university sponsored 'integral bee' (do integrals in your head)
- liquid nitrogen explosives
- contributed articles to PHRACK (not sure I should admit to this one)
can anyone beat those... ?

Does programming your own 49 code lines moon lander game on a HP 25C calculator count as geeky? Preferring reverse polish notation even when doing sums for your tax returns should also count for something (?)

- i have a BASIC casette tape for an ATARI 400. I used to play games on that atari using a makeshift cartridge and cloned EEPROMS.
- i do bin-hex-dec conversions in my head.
- i will hackforfood.com and keep shelling out to keep the domain. stood in DC wearing a "I WILL HACK FOR FOOD" sign during the gov't shutdown a couple years back.
- used to put motorola flip phones in test mode as a party trick.
- have programmed on a CP/M machine. once. promptly left the job.
- have a program on my TI-82 to graph warp speed as warp factor vs. c.
- can explain faster than light travel using einstein's relativity without ending up with imaginary numbers. just don't ask what coordinate system i use
- do silly things like perl -e '$_="
