I got pulled over for throwing cigarette out the window. The police gave me a $120 citation. Should I just pay the fine or request a hearing??? What should I do??

if you were a proud Boxster owner.
Boxster owners won't get pulled over for throwing cigarettes out of their cars anymore after they get a recent news bulletin from Porsche that urges them not to throw glowing cigarettes out of their cars.
There have been quite a lot of destroyed motors lately due to burning air filters ignited by cigarettes...how embarassing .

Pay up and learn your lesson. There is nothing more disgusting than looking at the evidence of other people's ignorance and selfishness all over the sides of the road! If you must indulge in such a nasty habit, don't make the rest of us live with it!

Yeah, this is pretty embarrassing. I think I'll pay instead of going to the hearing.....kind of stupid to go there because of this. ANyway, thanks and sorry guys......I won't litter again.....

you are lucky. I think throwing burning litter from a car is punishable by up to $1000 here. I had a butt land in my S2000 when it was just a few weeks old. I nearly rammed the perpetrator but thought better of it. I grabbed it and tossed it back into the perpetrator's car. Should not have done that either, but....

Anyways, I hope everyone realises soon that the world is not an ashtray.
